Valheru MUD builder’s agreement, per 4.3.2000 As a builder of zones for Valheru MUD you agree to let Valheru MUD use your work any way the administration sees fit. This includes daily use in the case of zones files, the rights to change your work in case you are not active as builder/coder any longer, and the right to discontinue the use of your work at any time. As long as Valheru MUD uses your work, you may not distribute copies of it to any third persons, much of the joy in playing can be ruined if the players have access to the source files for the areas present in the game. Builders cannot expect any financial compensation for their work, but usually all our staff will receive god characters of builder level or higher, or pay status/ power points for their mortal characters in case they do not need a god character to maintain their zone. All active builders have 100% responsibility for their own zones. This includes the obligation to maintain, update and bug fix. Also, builders are expected to make sure all objects and mobiles in their zones are within the current limits, and are expected to update these if the limits should change. As long as the builder is active he/she must be conferred with before any major changes are made to his/her zone(s). The administration reserves the right to make changes to zones if all attempts to contact the builder fails, in case of critical bugs, or out of limit items etc. in the zone. Persons granted the privileged use of builder level gods are expected to read and agree to the immortal agreement. Any misuse or cheating will result in instant and permanent deletion of the god character and any other characters involved. Giving out the passwords to a god character is not allowed and will result in deletion of the god. Giving out any kind of other material belonging to Valheru MUD will result in legal actions taken against you. Persons granted an immortal must understand that he/she is entering a team and must accept the opinions of the other immortals. He/she must also understand that the immortal team is a hierarchical organization, ranked by their level. He/she must accept the possibility of being over-ruled by an immortal of higher level. Active immortals can only be banished or removed from the game if a vote is taken against them by the other immortals, or if the owner of the MUD decides cooperation can no longer continue between the god in question and the MUD. If an immortal knowingly takes action to damage the mud he/she will be instantly removed from the game forever. The agreement may be changed at any time; the latest version will always be available for public reading at www.valheru.com and ftp at mud.valheru.com with anonymous login. Should a person who has accepted a previous agreement find himself unable to accept the terms of a new published agreement, he must contact the Valheru Mud administration within 30 days of the publication of the new agreement.
